Josh Daymont has a long history of work experience in the security industry. Josh began their career in 1997 as a Lead Security Researcher at Internet Security Systems. In 1999, they were promoted to Manager of X-Force Research at the same company. Two years later, in 2001, they became the Head of Consulting for the Southeastern US. In 2003, they moved to SecureWorks as the Director of Research, and then in 2006 they became the Chief Executive Officer of Securisea.

Josh Daymont attended Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Maryland, though no degree or field of study was specified. No additional certifications were noted.
