Eugene Schultz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Eugene began their career at the Washington State Department of Licensing as a Procurement and Supply Specialist, where they were involved in budgetary and distribution systems. Eugene also assisted the Information Systems unit as an applications tester.

After that, Eugene worked at Thurston County Water Resources as a Business Applications Technician II, where they created and maintained databases for research data using Access and SQL Server. Eugene gathered user requirements, formulated testing and development plans, and successfully met deadlines for each phase of the project.

Next, Eugene joined Symbility Solutions as a Data Analyst, where they created reusable modules and scripts and developed reports using T-SQL and SQL Server. Eugene also used SQL Server Analytics Services for data mining and predictive modeling.

Subsequently, Eugene worked at SSM Health as a Data Analyst, where they created complex reports using various tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Tableau. Eugene also developed applications for user-generated reporting and analysis.

Following that, Eugene served as an Analytics Consultant at UW Health, where they provided analytical support and expertise.

Afterwards, Eugene joined the Employment Security Department as a Business Intelligence Developer. In this role, they completely rewrote code, created new data models, and designed stored procedures and SSIS packages for large-scale federal reports. Eugene also administered and maintained data warehouse servers and refactored and redesigned an old ASP data warehouse security and reports portal website.

Simultaneously, Eugene worked as an Application Developer at the Washington State Department of Ecology, where they developed applications and contributed to the overall development process.

Currently, Eugene is a DataOps Supervisor at the Employment Security Department, where they oversee data operations and supervises a team.

In the future, Eugene will be joining SECURA Insurance as a Data Engineer.

Eugene Schultz's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at The Evergreen State College. Eugene completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics in 2006. After that, in 2008, Eugene attended South Puget Sound Community College for a period of two years to pursue Computer Programming. However, they did not obtain a degree from this institution.

In 2014, Eugene joined Oregon State University to study Computer Science. It is not specified when their education at this university ended.

In addition to their formal education, Eugene has obtained several certifications. Notable certifications include the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft, obtained in January 2020, and the "Using Databases with Python" certification from Coursera, obtained in February 2018. Other certifications include various courses from Coursera, like "Using Python to Access Web Data" (January 2018), "Python Data Structures" (December 2017), "Front-End Web UI Frameworks and Tools with Bootstrap, LESS, and SASS" (May 2017), and "HTML, CSS and JavaScript" (April 2017). Eugene also holds certifications in data-related subjects such as "Epic Cogito Data Warehouse Data Model" from Epic (February 2016), "Pattern Discovery in Data Mining" (March 2015), and various Epic Clarity Data Model certifications from Epic. The most recent certification mentioned is "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera, obtained in October 2015.
