Dr. Bastian Rakow has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Dr. Bastian is currently the Head of Global Accounting & Tax at Secop since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Accounting Austria & BT PC at Alstom from August 2020 to November 2021. From August 2017 to July 2020, Dr. Rakow served as the Finance Director at Centogene AG, where they were responsible for leading the entire Accounting team and overseeing financial statements. Dr. Bastian also contributed to the IPO process and implemented process improvements. Dr. Rakow's previous experience includes working as an Accounting Manager at VeriFone (2012-2017), a Financial Auditor at Bolender & Partner (2009-2011), and a Research Associate and Teaching Assistant at Universität Potsdam (2007-2009). Dr. Bastian started their career as a Student Apprentice at e.dialog GmbH (2006-2007) and also worked as an Apprentice at the Department of Finance of the State of Brandenburg (2006). Overall, Dr. Rakow has a strong background in accounting, finance, and auditing.

Dr. Bastian Rakow completed their education at the University of Potsdam. Dr. Bastian obtained a Diploma in Volkswirtschaftslehre, with a duration of six years from 2001 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics, which they completed in a span of five years from 2007 to 2012.
