  • Helping patients manage side effects to improve adherence and overall treatment outcomes.

  • Feeding back relevant information to the MDT to support collaborative decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in an innovative specialist weight management alongside an existing nursing role.

About the Service

This is a non-consultant-led Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Service. The MDT includes dietitians, psychologists, doctors, nurses, and independent prescribers, working together to provide holistic, evidence-based care. The majority of patients will engage with digital interventions, with approximately 80% expected to be prescribed GLP-1 RA medication.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct telephone consultations with patients who request additional support from a nurse during allocated time slots.
  • Listen actively to patients, understand their concerns, and provide appropriate advice or guidance.
  • Document key insights and actions from consultations to ensure accurate records are maintained, and enable effective communication with the MDT.
  • Escalate any issues requiring further intervention to the MDT as needed.
  • Share relevant patient insights asynchronously with the MDT or attend specific MDT discussions when required.
