Branko Džakula has extensive experience in the field of information security and compliance. Branko is currently the Co-Founder & CISO of Secfix, a company that helps small and medium-sized businesses automate security and compliance processes. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder & CISO of UN1QUELY, a software development and cybersecurity services company. Branko also served as the Chief Information Security Officer of Kaia Health, where they implemented and led the company-wide ISMS based on various security and privacy frameworks. Branko has also held positions such as Security Advisor at Argyle and Principal Information Security Officer at HolidayCheck AG. Branko's previous roles include serving as the Chairman/President of Mensa Montenegro, the largest high IQ society in the world. Throughout their career, Branko has demonstrated expertise in areas such as security governance, compliance management, risk management, and incident response.
Branko Džakula's education history is as follows:
- From 2023 to the present, they have been working as a Cybersecurity Academy Lecturer and Program Lead at UN1QUELY Academy, specializing in cybersecurity.
- From 2015 to 2017, they attended the University of Montenegro and obtained a Master of Applied Computer Science (M. A. Sc.) degree with a focus on Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
- From 2013 to 2014, they pursued further education at the University of Montenegro and earned a Specialist of Applied Science (Spec. A. Sc.) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
- Between 2010 and 2013, Branko Džakula studied at the University of Montenegro and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.
