Tim Schaeffer has held multiple roles in the natural products and body care industries. Tim began their career in 1999 as a Research Biologist at Bittech. In 2002, they joined Avalon Natural Products, Inc. as Marketing Communications Manager and was later promoted to Director of Marketing. In 2007, Tim founded Depth Body, LLC, where they developed and marketed marine-based body care products. Tim then joined Mineral Fusion Natural Brands in 2009 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Operations, where they had P&L responsibility and managed a team of 15. Most recently, Tim has been Chief Executive Officer and COO of The Seaweed Bath Co. since 2019.

Tim Schaeffer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from California State University, Northridge in 1995. Tim then went on to earn a Master of Science in Marine Sciences from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories in 1999. Finally, they completed their education in 2002 with a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University School of Business.
