Jason Wendler is an accomplished data scientist and director in the field of integrated data sciences, currently serving at Seattle Children's since February 2019. With a rich background in bioinformatics, genomics, and statistics, Jason has held numerous positions, including principal and lead data scientist, and has extensive experience in analyzing large genomic datasets. Prior to this, Jason worked as a senior research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and completed a doctoral candidacy at the University of Oxford. Jason's work includes developing advanced statistical methods, mentoring students in bioinformatics, and establishing core facilities in Tanzania. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Genomic Medicine and Statistics from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Statistics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a B.S. in Microbiology and Chemistry from Middle Tennessee State University.
