Alan Bowman has a strong background in cloud operations and technical leadership.
From 2021-present, Alan worked at SearchStax as a Technical Lead, Cloud Operations. In this role, they successfully managed a global operations support team and maintained cloud architecture in line with strict SLA targets. Alan also handled server infrastructure provisioning and maintenance within AWS, Azure, and GCP ecosystems.
Prior to that, Alan was employed at Varicent from 2020-2021 as the Varicent Cloud Ops Technical Team Lead. Here, they led a team of 12 cloud operators across three geographies, overseeing scheduling in a follow the sun support model. Additionally, they onboarded 20 new hires and ensured they received proper training on technical systems and achieved their ticket resolution rate targets. Alan also took on a client-facing role and drafted Root Cause Analysis documents on outages and other client-facing issues within the Cloud environment.
Before joining Varicent, Alan worked at IBM as the ICM Cloud Ops Technical Lead from 2018-2020. This position also involved leading a team of 12 cloud operators and following a follow the sun support model. Alan was responsible for onboarding new hires, providing technical system training, and ensuring adherence to ticket resolution rate targets and quality standards. Additionally, they drafted Root Cause Analysis documents for client-facing issues within the Cloud environment.
Prior to this, Alan served as a Senior Cloud Administrator at IBM from 2014-2018. Alan started their career at WaveCreste as a GIOM Production Support Analyst from 2012-2014.
Alan Bowman completed their high school education at Manchester High School from 2003 to 2007. Alan earned a High School Diploma during this time. From 2007 to 2012, they attended Ohio University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Telecommunication Systems. Additionally, they also completed a minor in Business during the same period.
