Chris Orr has over 20 years of work experience, starting with their role as Technical Support at Active Computers from 1995 to 1997. Chris then worked as a Systems Engineer at Century Computers from 1997 to 2000, specializing in turnkey network and server solutions. From 2000 to 2022, they held various positions at Tripwire, including Senior Manager Sales Engineering West/Channel/MSSP/Technical Enablement/LatAm, West Sales Engineering Manager, Sr. Field Sales Engineer, Field Sales Engineer, and Inside Sales Engineer. In these roles, they managed teams, developed technical relationships with global partners, conducted demos and proof of concepts, and ensured customer satisfaction. Since 2022, Chris has been working as the Global Director of Sales Engineering at Seagull Scientific, leading a group of highly motivated individuals and driving revenue through strategic decision-making.

Chris Orr obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of San Diego in the field of Political Science from 1987 to 1991. Chris then pursued a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1991 to 1992. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Chris attended Bishop Gorman from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, they received several certifications including GS1 Foundations from GS1 US in 2024, Technical Sales: The Role of the Sales Engineer from LinkedIn in 2022, Recruiting Diverse Talent as a Hiring Manager from LinkedIn in 2021, Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA in 2005, and SANS GSEC from SANS Institute in 1999.
