Jiaoming Qiu is a Senior Engineering Manager at Seagate Technology, overseeing a team of over 10 engineers and scientists focused on laser integration, optical components, and reliability in high-capacity data storage devices since September 2016. Previously, Jiaoming served as a Senior Staff Engineer, leading NFT design development for HAMR products, significantly enhancing device reliability and capacity. Prior experience includes a role as a HW Development Engineer at HGST, where Jiaoming led the electrical design of magnetic sensors and conducted device failure analyses. As Co-Founder and Head of R&D at Zepto Life Technology, Jiaoming established an R&D team and set up testing labs for biosensor development. Jiaoming's early career at Seagate encompassed various engineering roles, including transducer design and magnetic sensor process engineering. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and multiple degrees in Materials Science and Engineering.
