James Gager has held a variety of roles in the surveying and engineering industries since 2005. James began their career as a Trainer & Sales at NY Precision Equipment in 2008, then moved on to become a Senior Tech Consultant and Geo Spatial Mapping (Utility3D Subsurface Mapping) at Beyond Measure in 2005. In 2014, they were appointed as Director of Survey and Mapping Technology at Ewell W. Finley, P.C. Consulting Engineers. James then moved to SolarCity in 2015, where they worked as a Commercial Surveyor. In 2017, they took on a role as Energy Consultant at Tesla, as well as a Survey Crew Chief at IANUZI & ROMANS PC. James continued their career in 2019 as NYS Geospatial Products Sales & Support at Keystone Precision Solutions, before becoming a Business Development Coordinator at Survey Source in 2021. Most recently, in 2022, James began working as a Passenger at Prudent Engineering, LLP, and is currently serving as Global Channel Accounts Manager - Survey and Supply at Seafloor Systems, Inc.
James Gager's education history includes obtaining an Associate's degree Program in Information Systems Technology from SUNY Morrisvile from 2001 to 2003. In 2009, they attended Trimble Knowledge Center for GNSS implementation in Heavy Construction. From 2005 to 2014, they were a Founding Member of LSU for Surveying Technology/Surveying. In 2011 and 2012, they completed 9 months of Leadership Chenango for Local commerce/infrastructure. In 2010, they were Certified by OSHA for OSHA 10. James also participated in Trimble Boot Camp for Certification in Spatial Sciences & Topographic Mapping components in 2009. Prior to this, they attended Munson William Proctor Institute from 1985 to 1987 for Fine/Studio Arts, General and State University of New York at Fredonia from 1985 to 1986 for NYSSA in Visial Arts.
