Lee Cooper has an extensive career in fisheries management and training, currently serving as a retiree after a long tenure at Ex Seafish since August 2024. Previously, Lee was the National Learning and Standards Manager at the Sea Fish Industry Authority from 1990, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of apprenticeship providers. Lee's career includes key roles such as Onshore Training Manager and Team Leader, and Senior Technical Officer for the Fisheries Department at the University of Papua New Guinea. Lee also worked as a Project Officer with the Ministry of Overseas Development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology and Biochemistry from Bangor University, a Diploma in Fisheries Management from Grimsby Institute, and a Diploma in Management, Organisational Design and Development from Hull College.
