Petr Gusev is a Senior Software Engineer at ScyllaDB, where involvement in the RAFT core development team includes solving challenges in Scylla's algorithm implementation and enhancing consensus-based schema management. Prior experience includes a senior role at Yandex, engineering features for a batch web crawler and designing a real-time stream processing system. As a Lead Software Engineer at Knopka, Petr led a team in modernizing legacy Java code, and at СКБ Контур, contributions included leading the development of Diadoc and Elba web services while addressing performance and scalability challenges. Petr holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ural State University named after A.M.Gorky.
