Scott Downey is an experienced Agile professional with a profound background in training and consulting. Currently serving at Scrum Inc. since November 2020, Scott has been the Owner of Rapid Scrum LLC since November 2007, specializing in Agile methodologies and developing the "Shock Therapy" model, co-presented with Jeff Sutherland at Agile 2009. Previous roles include Agile Coach positions at ADP and Napster, and as Head Agile Coach/Group Project Manager at MySpace, where Scott dramatically improved team productivity. Earlier career experience encompasses software engineering management roles at Shopzilla, Media Services, Symantec, Hologix, and eXstatic, developing strong engineering teams and improving operational effectiveness. Scott holds a BS in Computer Science from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
