Monique Teixeira has extensive work experience in compliance and research integrity roles. Monique is currently the Director of Compliance & Research Integrity Officer at Scripps Research since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the University of California San Diego, where they held the positions of Research Compliance and Integrity Supervisor from July 2021 to March 2022, and Research Compliance and Integrity Senior Analyst from January 2019 to July 2021. Before joining UC San Diego, Monique worked as a Compliance Officer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) from October 2017 to May 2018. Additionally, they have experience in IRB compliance at Tulane University from November 2014 to October 2017. Monique began their career as a Law Clerk Judge Fredericka Homburg Wicker at the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal from January 2012 to May 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Congressional Page at the U.S. House of Representatives from August 2004 to March 2005.
Monique Teixeira earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Political Science and Government with a minor in Religious Studies from Santa Clara University, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. Later, they pursued their Juris Doctor in Common Law Studies, specializing in Certification in Civil Law and International Law, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law from 2010 to 2013.
