Hugo Filipe Costa has been working in the design industry since 2006. Hugo Filipe began as a Freelancer Graphic/Web Designer and then moved on to work as an Interaction/Digital Designer at Supply in 2008. Hugo Filipe then worked as an Interaction Designer at Euro RSCG 4D in 2009 and as a Web Design and Motion Graphics Trainer at The Edge - Digital Visual Effects Training in the same year. In 2010, Hugo worked as an Interaction/UX Designer at Meios & Publicidade and as a Digital Art Director/UX Lead at Goody. In 2012, they began working as a User Experience Designer at Webspectator Corporation and then moved on to become a Senior Product Designer at Feedzai in 2016. Hugo then worked as a Lead Product Designer and then a Principal Product Designer at Talkdesk from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Hugo is the Head of Product Design at Screenloop.

Hugo Filipe Costa holds a Master's degree in Design Management from IADE - Creative University, obtained between 2018 and 2020. Hugo Filipe also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia from Escola Superior de Comunicação Social, obtained between 2011 and 2014. In addition, they have obtained two certifications; "Leading for Creativity" from IDEO U in October 2021, and "How to manage a remote team" from Coursera in January 2021.
