Cindy Zeng has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Cindy started their career as a Student Consultant at the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, where they gained experience in user experience methods. Cindy then worked remotely as a Frontend Lead at Roaring Fork LLC, contributing to the design and development of the initial look and feel of the product. Cindy later joined Zazzle as a User Interface Engineer, implementing useful features to enhance the shopping experience. Cindy then worked at Flipagram as a Software Engineer, collaborating with designers to implement a website redesign and important features. Cindy also worked at Digital Democracy as a Mobile Developer, developing an offline-first react-native android application for indigenous communities. Cindy then worked at Polymail as the Lead Frontend Engineer, leading the transition from an OSX application to a web application. At Out for Undergrad, Cindy served as the Conferencer Director, helping LGBTQ+ undergraduates connect with professionals. Cindy then joined Citizen as a Software Engineer, leading web technologies and spearheading the first enterprise product into beta. Currently, Cindy is a Fellow at On Deck and Co-Founder & CTO at Scout.

Cindy Zeng attended Gabrielino High School from 2006 to 2010. After completing high school, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems & Human Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University from 2011 to 2015.
