Lori Lisai (she/her)

Associate Director at Scout & Cellar

Lori Lisai, M.A. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lori began their career as a Technology Integrationist at Lamoille Union Middle and High School in 1999 and later became an English Teacher at Lamoille Union in 2015. In this role, they instructed 7th and 8th grade Language Arts classes and implemented interdisciplinary units centered on themes of identity, culture, freedom, and survival. Lori also led the transition to a 1:1 iPad program and piloted digital curriculum while providing professional development for faculty.

In 2016, Lori joined the Rowland Foundation as a Rowland Fellow. In this role, they worked on a fellowship project until 2017 focused on education innovation.

Lori then became a Technology Integration Specialist at Lamoille Union Middle and High School and worked closely with teachers to implement a 1:1 iPad program in the classroom. Lori provided support in lesson planning, co-teaching, and troubleshooting technology issues. Lori also organized professional development sessions for faculty.

In 2018, Lori took on the role of Innovation Coordinator at LAMOILLE NORTH SUPERVISORY UNION SCHOOL DIST 25. In this position, they customized professional development, supported the implementation of interdisciplinary learning and innovative teaching methods, and created sharing opportunities through social media and exhibitions of learning. Lori also worked on implementing personalized learning initiatives and facilitating community connections for work-based learning.

In 2019, Lori joined Scout & Cellar as an Associate Director. In this role, they led a team and helped grow the e-commerce wine start-up by sharing Clean Crafted Wine with others. Lori worked closely with small growers who focused on sustainable farming practices.

In 2021, Lori took the step of leaving the classroom and joined Zen & Grit, where they serve as a Creative Powerhouse and Human Design Mentor. Lori also works as a Website Builder, helping nonprofits and small businesses establish an online presence.

Additionally, Lori served as an Associate for Social Media & Technology at The Rowland Foundation from 2021. Lori assists with social media management and technology-related tasks.

Lori Lisai, M.A. (she/her) has a comprehensive education history. Lori earned their Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing with a 7-12 ELA endorsement from Johnson State College, graduating between 1991 and 1995. Before that, between 1988 and 1991, Lori attended Mount Mansfield Union High School. Continuing their educational journey, Lori pursued a Master's degree at Nova Southeastern University, specializing in Teaching & Learning, which they achieved from 2008 to 2010. These experiences have contributed to Lori's diverse academic background and expertise.
