Kieran Walesby is a Data Scientist at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, where responsibilities include using data for evidence-based recommendations to support regulatory work, as well as retrieving, analyzing, and visualizing data. Prior to this role, Kieran worked as a post-doctoral researcher at NUI Galway, funded by the European Space Agency, focusing on the collection and analysis of turbulence data in the upper ocean and its comparison with satellite-derived results. Kieran holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Exeter, a Master of Science in Applied Meteorology from the University of Reading, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of St Andrews.
