Alec McChesney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2016, they worked as a staff reporter for The Standard Newspaper at Missouri State University, covering sports and writing features. In 2017, they served as the Sports Editor for the same newspaper, where they also hosted a weekly sports video. Alec later interned at The Kansas City Star, covering a range of stories and taking on a larger role in covering FC Kansas City and Kansas University football camp. In 2018, Alec worked as a sports intern at the Tulsa World Media Company, where they produced numerous sports-related articles in just three months. Alec then joined the Lincoln Journal Star as a sports content editor and digital editor/assistant sports editor, overseeing social media accounts, website maintenance, and coverage of Husker football games. Alec also held multiple roles at Firespring, including Marketing Strategist, Business Development Strategist, and Director of Strategic Marketing, where they led engagement strategies, proposed solutions for potential clients, and built partnerships with industry thought leaders. Alec was also involved with AMA Lincoln as the VP of Programming for SkillSchool. Currently, Alec is the Director of Business Development for SCORR Marketing, where they handle client relationships, sales opportunities, and problem-solving for clients in the health science marketing field. Alec is also a Certified Business Made Simple Coach.

Alec McChesney completed a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from Missouri State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Southwestern Illinois College from 2012 to 2014, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. In February 2021, they obtained a certification as a Business Made Simple Certified Coach from Business Made Simple.
