Rob Hicklin has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry. Rob is currently working as a Senior Scientist II, Medicinal Chemistry Lead at Scorpion Therapeutics since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer as a Principal Scientist from April 2021 to April 2022, and as a Senior Scientist (Synthetic Organic Chemistry) from January 2018 to April 2021. Before joining Pfizer, Rob worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 2016 to January 2018. Rob also has experience as a Graduate Student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2010 to December 2015.

Rob Hicklin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Missouri between 2005 and 2010. Rob later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed between 2010 and 2015.
