Daniel Dybas

Web Developer at Scorpion Design

Daniel Dybas has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Daniel began their career as a Substitute Teacher, teaching Special Education U.S. History and Geography classes. Daniel then worked as a Life Skills Teacher, assisting special needs students in academic work and promoting social and life skills.

Daniel also worked as a Special Education Teacher, where they created curriculum and instructed students with various special needs in middle school mathematics. Daniel collaborated with co-teachers to develop lessons and ensure student growth.

In addition, Daniel has experience as a Gymnastics Coach, instructing high-school aged students in developing their gymnastics skills for competition. Daniel collaborated with other coaches to create lesson plans and led students through competition procedures.

Daniel switched career paths and became a Web Developer, working at Scorpion. Daniel utilized HTML, CSS, Javascript, and custom database queries to enhance the functionality and aesthetic of custom-designed websites. Daniel also coded custom solutions to meet client needs.

Daniel further expanded their software development skills as an Apprentice Software Developer at The Difference Engine. There, they worked on projects to deliver technology solutions for non-profits, utilizing technologies such as PostgreSQL, ExpressJS, React, and Node.

Daniel also underwent a Fullstack Web Development Bootcamp at Actualize Coding Bootcamp, where they learned the fundamentals and best practices of full-stack web development. Daniel gained experience in project architecture, backend, frontend, and self-teaching new technologies.

Overall, Daniel has a strong background in education and has successfully transitioned into the field of web development, utilizing their programming skills to create functional and visually appealing websites.

Daniel Dybas attended a Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp at Actualize Coding Bootcamp from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language Teacher Education from DePaul University, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Before attending DePaul, Daniel also pursued a Bachelor of Education in Spanish Language Teacher Education at Bradley University from 2004 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Daniel has obtained several certifications including Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Gymnastics Instructor from USA Gymnastics, Learning Behavior Specialist 1 certification from the Illinois State Board of Education, and Teacher Of Spanish certification, also from the Illinois State Board of Education.
