First Star Ventures focuses on investing in entrepreneurs addressing real-world challenges through advanced technologies such as data, machine learning, and decentralization, with notable investments including Jellyfish, Sia (Nebulous), and Seven Bridges Genomics. Additionally, Drew Volpe has been involved as an investor in multiple companies such as Zanskar Geothermal & Minerals, Inc., Salient Predictions, Robigo, ChiselStrike Inc., Nomic Bio, and Vistapath. Drew also holds board positions with Brink and Plex Research and has a strong educational background from Harvard University, where an AB in Computer Science was earned.
