John Kennedy

John Kennedy has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1988 with Perkin-Elmer as a Mechanical Engineer. From 1990 to 1992, they worked for IFT Technical Services as a Mechanical Engineer and team leader for teams of engineers, scientists, research associates and consultants. In 1992, they joined Eley Associates as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they conducted commercial and residential building energy analysis using DOE-2 and other building energy analysis software. John also worked with several government agencies in development of their building energy codes. In 1993, they joined the Industrial Assessment Center at SFSU as a Mechanical Engineer, conducting and supervising several energy audits, energy and resource savings calculations, and report generation for a variety of industrial sites. In 1997, they joined RLW Analytics as a Senior Energy Consultant, managing engineering and software development projects, involving building energy analysis (including simulations with DOE-2.1e), load forecasting, and load aggregation. From 1998 to 2008, they were the President & CTO of Green Building Studio, Inc., overseeing all operations and technical aspects including managing all Information Systems and software development activities. In 2008, they joined Autodesk as a Senior Product Line Manager, working with marketing and design teams to integrate several sustainable design analysis products (cloud services, desktop, and mobile applications) into Autodesk's core Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) software product line. In 2014, they joined investorMetrix as CTO, architecting and managing development of a cloud service utilizing a remote international team. In 2015, they became a Board Member, Chairman, and Interim CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County, directing efforts to revamp the organization, and accelerating the goal to build 600 affordable homes from 10 years to five years. Also in 2015, they co-founded Scollar, Inc., where they were the CTO and was directly involved in all aspects of technology for the personalized animal product wearable/marketplace start-up.

John Kennedy has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1988 as a Mechanical Engineer for Perkin-Elmer. John has since worked for a variety of companies in roles such as Senior Mechanical Engineer, Senior Energy Consultant, President & CTO, Senior Product Line Manager, Board Member, Chairman, Interim CEO, and CTO. Their most recent roles include CTO of investorMetrix, Board Member, Chairman, and Interim CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County, and Co-founder & CTO of Scollar, Inc.

John Kennedy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Chico and a Master of Science in Engineering from San Francisco State University.
