Cherylle Mallinson

Ms. Mallinson began her career in management over 20 years ago working in a variety of roles including case management, resource development, and financial planning. Ms. Mallinson’s career within the Regional Center system began in 1999 when she took on the role of Transition Service Coordinator. In this role, Ms. Mallinson worked with individuals from adolescence to adulthood where she advocated on their behalf to find generic resources to meet their needs. Ms. Mallinson then moved into the role of Medicaid Waiver Specialist where she created a tracking system for all enrollees. She then went on to work as Regional Vice President for Easter Seals where she expanded service lines, established recruiting and management teams, and strove to match the right person to the right job. From here, Ms. Mallinson began working for the North L.A Regional Center as Manager of Community Services. It was here that she began working with vendors on quality assurance as well as developing and monitoring community resources.

In 2012 Ms. Mallinson returned to Kern Regional Center to work as a Program Manager in the case management department and was soon recruited as the Interim Director for Community Services at Kern Regional Center to fill the position during a series of changes within the agency. In 2013 Ms. Mallinson was hired as the permanent Director for Community Services at Kern RC where she succeeded in developing new resources and relationships while transitioning individuals out of State institutions into the community. As SCLARC’s Director of Community Services & Family Support, Ms. Mallinson is responsible for providing Community Relations & Outreach to SCLARC stakeholders as well as administering oversight of Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and protocols for developmentally disabled individuals.
