Nikki Johnston has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2014 when they worked as a Department Assistant at Sewanee Psychology. In 2015, they worked as a Waitress at The Sewanee Inn. In 2016, they were a Volunteer Teacher at Global Crossroad. In 2017, they worked as a Cultural Ambassador and English Teacher for the Spanish Government, as well as a Summer Associate for AmeriCorps VISTA. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at memoryBlue in various roles, including Sales Development Executive, Enterprise Business Development Representative, Senior Sales Development Representative, and Sales Development Representative. In 2022, they worked as a Strategic Account Manager - SMB at Formstack. Finally, in 2023, they worked as an Account Executive at Scismic.

Nikki Johnston graduated from The University of the South in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies, after having attended the school from 2013.
