Benjamin Abruzzo is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in guidance mechanisms and precision munitions, having served as Lead Research Engineer I and Sr. Research Engineer II at Scientific Systems since July 2022. Previously, Benjamin held the role of Electromechanical Engineer at the US ARMY CCDC-Armaments Center from October 2007 to July 2022, where responsibilities included developing methodologies, algorithms, and simulations. As a PhD candidate at Stevens Institute of Technology, research focused on cooperative localization and robotic teams, complemented by visiting research positions at the United States Military Academy at West Point and NASA, where contributions included localization and grasping methods for the Robonaut2. Benjamin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering / Robotics from Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The College of New Jersey. Additionally, Benjamin is a DAWIA SPRDE Level 3 certified professional and is credited with a patent for a Course Self-Correcting Projectile.
