Melissa Wong is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in social media management, outreach, and leadership roles across various organizations. As the Director of Social Media at the Black Youth Empowerment Network, Melissa contributes to strategic communications. Previous experience includes serving as a Medical Outreach Intern at Make-A-Wish Colorado, where responsibilities involved coordinating with medical facilities and leading fundraising initiatives that raised significant amounts for children with critical illnesses. Melissa also held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President of the National English Honor Society and President of the National Council for the Social Studies, where advocacy for civic responsibility and community engagement were prioritized. In addition to these roles, Melissa co-founded Youth in Tune to promote music education and served as a volunteer tutor with ENGin, helping students enhance their English language skills. Melissa holds a B.A. and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Computational Linguistics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
