David Cole currently serves as President and CEO of the Science History Institute, a position held since May 2020. Prior to this role, David was the Executive Director of the Hagley Museum and Library from October 2013 to May 2020 and held the position of Vice President at the Whitehead Institute from 2010 to 2013. David's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Harvard Art Museums, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Project Zero, and a Strategic Business Consultant at Round Table Group. David also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Rice University and as an Academic Counselor for Men's Athletics at The University of Texas at Austin. David's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy in History of Art -- American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
