Ashlyn Uithoven is an experienced animal welfare professional currently serving as an Animal Welfare Specialist at Schwartz Farms Inc. since August 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing animal welfare and compliance across multiple states and conducting PQA site assessments. Previously, Ashlyn worked as an Integrated Pork Quality Coordinator at HyLife, focusing on enhancing animal welfare through audits and training. Ashlyn also gained valuable experience as a Manager in Training at New Fashion Pork, mastering all key production areas in swine production and developing skills in animal husbandry. Ashlyn began a career in animal care as an Animal Caretaker at USDA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and International Agriculture from Iowa State University.
