Akand Islam is a seasoned HPC Specialist with extensive experience in developing, deploying, and troubleshooting AWS Cloud and HPC solutions at RCH Solutions since March 2021. Prior roles include serving as HPC Technical Lead at General Atomics, where oversight of engineering concerns and air-gapped network configurations was key, and as Sr. HPC Engineer at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, focusing on the design and optimization of various HPC solutions. Akand's career began as a CAE-CFD Engineer at Ford Motor Company, developing complex system modeling, and included a postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in simulations and algorithm development for HPC cloud environments. Akand holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama and advanced degrees from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
