Michael Discenza

Michael Discenza is the Chief Technology Officer at SchooLinks. Michael has held this position for 5 years and 10 months, during which time they have also served as the Chief Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist.

Prior to joining SchooLinks, Discenza was a Senior Data Science Manager at RUN, where they designed and implemented algorithms for click-through optimization of ads, as well as the infrastructure to run these models and the frameworks for testing and evaluating performance. Michael also developed a new product for targeting upper funnel/brand focused campaigns more effectively. This product uses site intercept survey technology and statistical methodology to optimize advertising toward audiences most likely to see brand lift as a result of media spend.

Discenza has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at TargetSpot and a Data And Accountability Intern at Success Charter Network. Michael began their career as a Summer Analyst at Updata Partners.

Michael Discenza holds a Master of Arts from Columbia University in the City of New York in the field of Statistics, which they obtained in 2014. Michael also holds a degree from Columbia University in the City of New York in Statistics and Sociology, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to their time at Columbia, they attended Phillips Academy from 2005 to 2009.
