Charles Urness serves as the Superintendent for the School District of Jefferson since July 2021, following over a decade as Principal at The School District of Janesville. Prior experience includes a Principal role at The School District of Brodhead and teaching Social Studies at Brodhead High School and Gila Vista Junior High School. In addition, Charles has contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, a Master of Science (MS) in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Secondary Education from reputable institutions.
