Dr. Rainey Briggs is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Superintendent for the School District of Baraboo since June 2021. Prior to this role, Dr. Briggs held the position of Director of Elementary Education at Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District from July 2016 to June 2021, and served as Principal at both Sun Prairie Area School District from June 2013 to July 2016 and Madison Metropolitan School District from June 2011 to June 2013. Earlier career roles include educator positions at Sun Prairie Area School District and Verona School District. Dr. Briggs holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Edgewood College, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University, and a Bachelor's degree in Health Services from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
