Sue has more than 25 years of public accounting and industry experience with particular expertise in tax matters affecting nonprofit organizations. She is an experienced tax and business advisor with a background in both internal and external settings, providing clients with timely, innovative and high-quality advice on a broad array of compliance, planning, regulatory and business issues. Sue’s clients include colleges, universities, secondary educational organizations, arts and cultural organizations, religious organizations, business and professional associations and private foundations.
Sue’s experience includes representing clients in connection with seeking and receiving audit representation, obtaining recognition of tax-exempt status, foreign information reporting governance and operating issues, and technical advice on matters such as public charity/private foundation qualification, intermediate sanctions, lobbying, political activities, unrelated business income, executive compensation and fringe benefit matters and Form 990 and Form 990T compliance.
Sue instructs the firm's personnel and clients in tax issues affecting exempt organizations. She is a frequent speaker on tax aspects of exempt organizations.
