Brian Schmidt began their work experience in 1996 as the Vice President of Business Development at Schmidt Security Pro. In 2014, they were promoted to President and held this role until present. In 2008, Schmidt also served as a Board Member for the Ohio Electronic Life Safety and Security Association until 2012. Additionally, they held the position of Past Chairman at the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2018.

From 1992 to 1996, Brian Schmidt studied at The University of Toledo, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Business.
