Chad Kern has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1993, they worked as an Officer/Project Manager for a commercial design/build General Contractor until 2005. Chad then transitioned to Oil and Gas Chemical Formulation, where they served as an Engineering and Development Manager from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, Chad joined Schirm USA, Inc. as an Engineer/EHS Manager, a position they held for a decade. Chad later took on the role of Director of Manufacturing from October 2018 to August 2019 at Schirm USA, Inc. Currently, Chad serves as the President & CEO of the company.

Chad Kern obtained an Executive Finance and Accounting Certificate from SMU Cox School of Business in 2019. In addition, they hold a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Agricultural Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, which they completed between 1991 and 1993. Before that, Chad Kern earned an Associate of Applied Science in Agricultural Mechanization from Rend Lake College, from 1989 to 1991.
