Sara Barnes is an accomplished professional in the fields of art and creative writing, currently serving as the Social Media Manager at Schilling Cider since June 2023. As the Owner and Illustrator of Bear&Bean, a handcrafted embroidery business, Sara celebrates pets through artistic portraiture. Freelancing as a writer since 2013, Sara specializes in arts, crafts, and creative processes, contributing to various platforms including My Modern Met, Bluprint, and Craftsy. Additionally, experience as a Part-Time Faculty member at the Maryland Institute College of Art showcases expertise in illustration and critical theory. With an MFA in Illustration Practice and a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Sara also curates the Brown Paper Bag art blog and runs an illustration-focused Instagram account.
