Katie Hunter is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in various educational settings, currently serving as a Special Education Kindergarten Teacher at Schenectady City School District since September 2015. Previous roles include co-teaching for middle school special education, conducting screenings, and modifying activities to cater to diverse learning needs at Unity Sunshine Preschool and Achievements. Hunter has also worked with young children with developmental delays at Capital District Beginnings, where responsibilities included implementing therapies and creating behavior plans. Additional experience includes serving as an Evaluation Coordinator, managing early intervention programs, and providing direct instruction and support in special education across multiple school districts. Katie holds a B.S. in Education from the State University of New York College and an M.S. in Education from Walden University.
