Peter Christian is a Partner and Attorney at Schaefer Halleen, LLC, since May 2012, where the firm focuses on legal representation for individuals and groups affected by workplace misconduct. Prior to this role, Peter served as the Public Defender for the Second Judicial District in Minnesota from August 2011 to April 2012, defending indigent clients in criminal cases. Peter also gained valuable experience as a Legal Intern at both the Burton Blatt Institute and the Minnesota Disability Law Center, where efforts were directed towards supporting individuals with disabilities. Earlier professional experience includes teaching with Teach for America from August 2006 to August 2008. Peter holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies from Marquette University.
