Raymond van Zyl is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Solar Plant Supervisor at Scatec Solar since December 2019, overseeing operations and maintenance activities of a Solar PV Plant. Prior to this role, Raymond worked at ESKOM's Ankerlig Power Station as a Senior Technical Controller from December 2008 to November 2019, where maintenance and operation of diesel engines, air compressors, and a variety of hydraulic and water treatment systems were key responsibilities. Raymond's career began at Huhtamaki as a Production Artisan from December 2003 to November 2008, focusing on electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment. A solid educational background includes various qualifications in electrical network hydro power and power generation, with degrees from the College of Cape Town and GPTech.
