Sera Tolgay, AICP, currently serves as a member of the NASA Develop Fall 2024 Cohort at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, starting in September 2024. Previously, Sera has held the position of Associate at Scape since December 2020 and worked as an Urban Designer and Planner at WSP USA from 2018 to 2020. Sera also gained experience as an Assistant Urban Designer with the NYC Department of City Planning in 2018, contributing to citywide zoning for coastal flood resiliency. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Hydrology from the University of Oklahoma, a Master's in City Planning and a Master's in Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree with honors in Environmental Science and Policy from Yale University. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Fellow and Teaching Assistant at MIT, Cities Consulting at BuroHappold Engineering, and an Environmental Planner at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, along with a research internship at UNDP's Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development.
