Dr. Gerhard Schunk currently serves as Leitung Customer & Sample Operations and Technical Business Development Manager at Scantinel Photonics since February 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Schunk was with Valeo from June 2017 to December 2022, where responsibilities included serving as a Valeo Expert for internal training, leading technical projects in autonomous driving, and overseeing LiDAR sensor functions in serial projects. Additionally, Dr. Schunk conducted doctoral research at the Max-Planck-Institut für die Physik des Lichts from February 2012 to May 2017, focusing on experimental quantum optics, specifically in efficient light-atom coupling through resonant parametric down-conversion.
