Mohamed Badawy is the Founder and CEO of Scalvy Inc., established in May 2022, which innovates modular e-powertrain units for the ground e-mobility market. Previously, Mohamed served as an Associate Professor and later as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at San Jose State University from August 2016 to July 2024, where Mohamed also founded and directed the Center of Power Electronic Converters. Mohamed's academic journey included a Graduate Assistant position at The University of Akron from September 2010 to August 2016, focusing on research in Power Electronics and Electric Vehicles, following technical experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Field Engineer at PGESCo from February 2008 to September 2010. Educational accomplishments include a PhD and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Akron, and a BSc in Electrical Power Engineering from Cairo University.
