Samson Yuen has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role at ScalePad as a Software Development Manager, where they started in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Developer at ScalePad from May 2018 to November 2021.

Before joining ScalePad, Samson worked as a Research Assistant at Voice Lab, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders from May 2015 to May 2018. In this role, they focused on parameter estimation, data analysis, and literature search for an agent-based model simulating phonotrauma. Samson also conducted major source code organization and clean-up.

Additionally, Samson gained research experience as a Research Student at Paliouras Lab, Division of Experimental Medicine from September 2016 to December 2016. Samson also worked as a Research Project Student at Ursini-Siegel Lab, Department of Oncology from January 2016 to April 2016, where they investigated the role of p53 status in modulating p66-regulated soft agar colony formation, performed wet lab experiments, and used MATLAB for image analysis.

Furthermore, Samson worked as a Research Student at Xia Lab, Department of Bioengineering from May 2015 to December 2015.

Samson Yuen attended McGill University from 2014 to 2017, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
