Matthias Frankema has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Groningen and a Bachelor's degree in Commerciële economie - Sport Marketing from Johan Cruijff University Amsterdam. Matthias currently works as a trainer coach u14 at SC Cambuur since June 2018. Prior to this, Matthias worked as a docent maatschappijwetenschappen havo/vwo bovenbouw at Emelwerda College since February 2008. Matthias also held positions as a trainer coach and hoofd jeugd opleidingen at Flevo Boys from August 2011 to May 2018, and as a trainer coach at Be Quick 1887 from August 2006 to July 2009.
