Ben Shichenga is a seasoned professional in the fields of forensic and security investigations, holding a BA in Criminology and an MBA in Strategic Management, alongside being a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Currently, Ben serves as the Senior Manager for Forensic & Security Investigations at SBM Bank Kenya since June 2022. Prior to this role, Ben held various positions in notable financial institutions, including Manager of Security & Forensic Investigations at Chase Bank Kenya Ltd and Physical Security, Fraud & Forensic Investigation & Premises Management at Guaranty Trust Bank Kenya Limited. With extensive experience spanning over two decades, including roles as a Police Officer and Detective with the Kenya Police and Directorate of Criminal Investigation, Ben specializes in fraud investigations and physical security management within the banking sector. Education credentials include studies at Kenyatta University and Egerton University, among others, emphasizing strategic management, criminology, and fraud investigation.
