Elsa Söderholm has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Elsa started their career as a Sales Assistant at Bright 1-2-3 in 2010 and 2011. Elsa then worked as a Summer Economic Assistant at S-E-G Instrument AB in 2013. In 2015, Elsa worked as a Junior Analyst at Arbetsmiljöverket, where they compiled surveys and assisted with national surveys. In the same year, they also started working as a Research Assistant at Linköping University, focusing on social and affective neuroscience research.

In 2016, Elsa joined Statistics Sweden as a Social Scientist/Statistician and later became a Group Leader. Their responsibilities included delivering high-quality statistics on time, particularly in the fields of R&D in the higher education and business enterprise sectors.

Most recently, Elsa has been employed at SBAB since 2017. Elsa initially worked as a Quantitative Credit Risk Analyst, analyzing the bank's credit portfolio and validating its IRB models. Elsa then became a Team Lead, leading a team and overseeing operations. Currently, Elsa serves as the Head of Credit Risk Validation at SBAB, responsible for ensuring the bank's risk remains within its risk appetite.

Elsa Söderholm completed their education history with a Master's Degree in Economics/Financial economics from Linköping University in 2015-2016. In 2013-2014, Elsa participated in a study abroad program at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, focusing on Economics and Finance. Their educational journey started earlier with a Gymnasium degree from Kungsholmens Gymnasium in 2006-2010, where they studied in the Natural Science Program.
