Patrick Gentles has extensive experience in the educational publishing industry. Patrick began their career at McDougal Littell in 1993, where they excelled as a Sales Representative and later became a Senior Sales Rep, receiving the Midwest sales representative of the year award in 1997. Patrick continued their success at Holt McDougal as a Chicago City Manager/Senior Sales Rep, where they developed and implemented selling strategies for the Chicago Public Schools and established a partnership with the CPS Advanced Placement Department. In 2008, Gentles joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as an Account Executive, providing digital and print educational content solutions to schools. Patrick played a significant role in the creation of pre-work plans for the Chicago Public Schools math and literacy RFPs. Gentles then worked at Benchmark Education Company as a Senior Sales Consultant, where they managed relationships with administrators in Illinois and developed a strategic selling plan for the state. Patrick later joined Scholastic as an Account Executive, responsible for building relationships with district, school, and community leaders and serving as the main point of contact for assigned districts. Gentles then transitioned to EMC Publishing, LLC as an Account Manager before joining Pearson as an Account General Manager. Patrick currently works at Savvas Learning Co as an Account General Manager. Overall, Gentles has demonstrated a strong track record in sales and account management within the educational publishing industry.
Patrick Gentles has a BA degree in Management from National Louis University. Prior to attending university, they attended Evanston High School. In addition to their degree, they have a certification in Professional Selling Skills from AchieveGlobal, which they obtained in June 2012.
