Sara Mills is currently the Development Director at Savion. Sara has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, having worked as both a project manager and director of projects and policy.

Sara began their career in 2012 as an Operations Project Manager at SunEdison. In this role, they were responsible for managing a $50+ million solar PV project in Riverside County, California. Sara successfully led a cross-functional team from design through commercial operation.

In 2016, Sara moved to Ulteig as a Project Manager for Renewables. In this role, they managed multiple renewable energy projects from early-stage development through construction.

Most recently, Sara was the Director of Projects and Policy at Able Grid Energy Solutions from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they proposed an organizational structure for the project development team and implemented processes and tools to allow efficient work and successful collaboration as the team grew 3-4x. Sara also led the development of projects from early-stage development approaching construction NTP.

Sara Mills holds a MBA/MS from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in the field of Business Administration and Natural Resources. Sara also holds a BA from Georgetown University in American Studies and French.

Sara Mills reports to Scott Zeimetz, Chief Development Officer. Sara Mills works with Samantha Robichaud - Director, Development, Energy Storage, Hannah Wahaus - Project Controls Administrative Assistant, and Garrett Ketchen - Senior Development Manager.
